Skull Masks for Day of the Dead
We created a series of skull masks to be cut out of sturdy paper (or repurposed manila folders, in this case). The masks were then handed out to friends and used to decorate during the 2007 annual Tucson Day of the Dead celebration. This one has discovered a new life as a most unusual lampshade.
The mask below was created by layering cutouts of painted white matboard, a much more elaborate process.
